I am a commercial sugarcane production professional with over 16 years of progressive experience in agronomy, farm management and agricultural leadership. I currently serve as a Senior Section Manager at Tongaat Hulett Zimbabwe, managing approximately 1,000 hectares of irrigated sugarcane and leading a workforce of over 350 employees. My expertise covers crop establishment, irrigation, fertiliser management, harvesting, budgeting, operational planning and sustainable crop production. I hold a Diploma in Agriculture from Chibero Agricultural College, a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture (Crop Science), an MBA, a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Change Management from the University of Edinburgh, and I am currently pursuing an MSc in Agronomy. My passion is to improve agricultural productivity through innovation, scientific research and data-driven decision-making while developing high-performing teams.

Lydia Murekatete is a Rwandan agribusiness entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of All Greens, a female-led agricultural enterprise focused on sustainable and climate-smart food production in Rwanda. Her work is centred on strengthening Rwanda's food systems through innovative agricultural production, improved market access and value-chain development. Through All Greens, Lydia has developed an integrated agribusiness model that combines greenhouse farming, fresh-produce distribution, agritech solutions, farmer training and market development. With extensive experience in agricultural operations and community outreach, Lydia has built her enterprise around addressing some of the practical challenges facing farmers and food producers, including climate resilience, production infrastructure, post-harvest handling and access to reliable markets. Under her leadership, All Greens has expanded its agricultural infrastructure from four to five greenhouses, established a retail shopfront and developed cold-storage capacity. These investments have strengthened the company's ability to produce, handle and distribute fresh agricultural products while creating a more resilient food supply model. Lydia's entrepreneurial journey has also generated employment opportunities, with All Greens creating nine jobs, seven of which are held by women. Wedgehut Foods was born during the COVID-19 pandemic after the closure of a restaurant business left Wanjiru with excess potatoes. What began as selling potatoes from the boot of her car evolved into a commercially viable agro-processing enterprise focused on connecting farmers to reliable markets while supplying hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools, caterers and other institutional customers with ready-to-cook potato products. Under her leadership, Wedgehut has developed a farm-to-fork value-chain model, working with smallholder farmers on production practices, certified seed, quality standards and financial literacy while providing structured market access. The company processes potatoes into products including French fries, wedges, cubes, Lyonnaise potatoes and other ready-to-cook formats. Its processing capacity has grown to approximately 4 tonnes of potatoes per day. Wanjiru's work goes beyond processing. She is actively contributing to the transformation of Kenya's potato industry by addressing some of its longstanding challenges, including unreliable markets, post-harvest losses, inefficient value chains and limited opportunities for smallholder farmers. As the founder of Agroxchange Technology Services Limited, a digital technology driven agribusiness firm based in Nigeria, Adewale was able to establish Agroxchange as a reliable indigenous consulting firm. With a background in Information Technology from Muteesa I Royal University, I specialise in mobile application development, machine learning, and applied AI for agricultural contexts. I designed and built Yamba Ekimera end-to-end from training the deep learning model on over 80,000 plant disease images, to developing the Flutter mobile application, Supabase backend, and bilingual English-Luganda interface. The platform reflects both technical depth and a practical understanding of the real constraints facing rural farmers in Uganda: limited internet connectivity, language barriers, and inadequate access to agricultural expertise. Mrs Christina Taranhike popularly known as “Mai Chimuti” is the Co Founder and Managing Director of the Integral Kumusha (IK), a community based enterprise with the aim of eradicating poverty, hunger and marginalisation of the rural communities by transforming traditional rural homesteads into viable socio economic entities. Trained at Makerere University, he has channeled his scientific background into building sustainable livelihoods through fisheries, aquaculture, and marine agribusiness — translating clinical knowledge of malnutrition directly into community-level food security interventions. As Founder and Group Leader of Pwani Hydrotech Youth Group (PHYG), a youth-driven Blue Economy organization based in Mtongwe Ward, Likoni Sub-County, Mombasa, Dr. Musanjje has built a fully operational aquaculture enterprise producing both African Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) and Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) across three grow-out ponds. PHYG operates under the KEMFSED/World Bank project framework in affiliation with the Kenya Fisheries Service (KeFS). Mr. Bezabeh A Birhan has built Bezabeh Feedlot, in Mojo, Oromia, into a working example of what environmental stewardship can look like on a commercial livestock operation. Rather than treating sustainability as an afterthought, he has made it a core part of how the farm runs  from the energy that powers it to the way waste moves through the system.At the center of this effort is a biogas extraction system paired with solar power generation, which together supply the electricity that runs the farm's day to day logistics and, just as importantly, powers the homes of the workers who live and work on the farm. Alongside this, Mr. Bezabeh has developed a waste-to-resource model that goes beyond his own operation: organic waste from his farm and from neighboring smallholder farms is captured and repurposed rather than left to pollute or go to waste, meaningfully reducing the environmental footprint of dairy farming in the surrounding area. The system doesn't stop at energy recovery ; the nutrient-rich byproduct left over from the biogas process is donated and used both on the farm and in the surrounding community to grow feed, restoring soil health and closing the loop between what the farm takes from the earth and what it gives back. It's a model of stewardship that treats waste not as a problem to manage, but as a resource to reclaim and return.This environmental commitment sits alongside a broader integration effort at the farm, where cattle, poultry, and aquaculture enterprises are being brought together into a single system designed to use resources more efficiently and reduce environmental strain across the board. And true to his belief that sustainability has to be shared to matter, Mr. Bezabeh extends this thinking into the community around him training smallholder livestock farmers, offering discounted and education-focused slaughterhouse services, and helping smallholder families access agricultural and formal education for their children.
